I have been a fan of theirs for a while drooling over their dresses and accessories. They have such amazing collections and are mostly vintage inspired and I think we all love vintage inspiritaions. Their sizes range from 0-16 which is pretty neat. It would be great if the sizing went up a bit higher, I hope that it happens soon! We are still working on this revolution after all! :) For now I am happy that such amazing clothes are available for the curvier woman aswell.

They're newest collection is pretty amazing for more than one reason. First of all it's called "Mad Hatter" and inspired by alice in wonderland, second of all there is a bunch of lacey goodness! here are some of my favorites from the collection.

I love this one! It reminds me of super mario. The Red and white charm reminds me of the Mushroom. It even has a turtle on it! :)

This one is so adorable and cute. I love the colors and the hearts and the hanging charm with a couple inside the heart..awww..tender :)

How cool is that? Can we do a virtual chest bump? I think we should, becaue it's just that cool.

The charms are pretty, colorful and chunky which is really how I like them. They're high quality bracelets which is so great because they come at an affordable price and we all know it's not easy comming by that kind of stuff these days. They also have a HUGE variety of different styles with charms already attached to them. So you can easily match them up with your outfit, event, mood, weather, etc. The chunkyness of the charms makes them really fun to wear!

So, let's pretend like I didn't forget to post about Valentines day.
My boyfriend and I aren't huge on the V-day so I guess I kinda just didn't write about it.
We usually just spend the time together on this day, order in and watch movies, super cozy super chill, which is the way we like it. There is no need for expensive gifts, if you love eachother you love eachother all year 'round.
However, I don't ever pass up the opportunity to wear heart print stuff.

So heres that!

I did make cupcakes, because well the best way to a mans heart is..... probably through his chest with a sharp object of some sort, but what do doctors and vampire slayers know...am I right?

I preffere the old fashioned way which is through his stomach! They where Yummy. I got some real pretty flowers and we shared a bottle of sparkly, while munchin on pizza and cupcakes and enjoying the movies.

Oh and I made us some foam paper mustache and lips for our lolipops.

Tiny Monkeys!!

Hey Everyone!

Not gonna do a lot of talkin' today. Just want to show you guys this outfit I've been wanting to share on here for a while.

One bad thing about this is....the friggin sweater shrunk in the washer!! :( so sad! I managed to squeeze into it though but well, let's just say, it's not exactly its self anymore...poor thing. It manages to look descent enough for these pictures...I think?

this is one of my favorite brooches, I'm kinda bummed that I don't wear it more often. It was a gift from a friend which makes it all the more special. I'm just not a brooches kind of gal...I wish I was though, I really do but...I tend to forget to wear them, which is weird because I really like brooches! This one is flexible and I like wearing it over the shoulder because of its flexibility.

On another note. I won this bangle at the Giddy up Girls blog giveaway a while back. I was so glad to have won it because it's so sparkly and awesome, just my kind of thing ya know.

Well expecting to get a bangle in the mail you can imagine my suprise when I saw this big package:

After ripping it open to see what's inside what I saw deffinitely surprised me. Out jumped a tiny monkey and started playing a tiny drum set with tiny drum sticks, he had a tiny hat on and tiny sparkly shoes, he started singing and then he jumped up on my shoulder and proceeded to give me a high five.
.......Okay okay so maybe none of that happened I wanted to get your imagination flowing a little there. There was no Tiny monkey, although that would have been AMAZING.

Moving on to the actual cool part!

What was actually inside was pretty awesome. She sent me some cool clothes with the awesome bangle! which is so awesome of her! She deffinitely knows how to get on a bloggers good side :D . A BIG THANKS goes out to Giddy up Girls! :) I love all of it! Heres a little glimpse of the clothes.

How cute is this dress for the summer? I dig the colors.

This dress shirt has a little shine/sparkle to it, actually just what I have been looking for, all I need now is some pleather pants/leggins ;)

This ones got a vintagy feel to it. I like the big button detail and the wide sleeves. Gotta figure out what to pair it up with...hmmmm.... :)

D.I.Y Faux Fur Collar

Hello Friends!

How are you guys doing? I'm doing much better! Thank you so much to those of you who wished me a quick recovery and who where so concerned with my ankle getting better. You all RULE!

I have a special treat for you today. Since you all asked about my D.I.Y Faux Fur Leopard Scarf from a few posts back, (I totally spaced on taking tutorial pictures for it) I figured I'd lead you through a similar D.I.Y adventure.

Now, please excuse the quality of these pictures. I almost spaced on documenting this one too, when I realized I have my phone at hand and started snapping pictures of the project.

So what you will need for this is:

Faux fur of your choice
black lining
black thread
small hooks
measuring tape
mild sewing skills
sewing machine

Step 1: Measure the length of the material, this part goes around your neck, this measurement might be different for each person, all depending on how loose you want it. Mine was about 17.3 inches.

Step 2: Measure the width of the collar, it can be however wide you'd like it. Mine was about 3 inches. Make sure you cut the ends at a slight angle so that the corners stick out later.

Step 3: Measure the lining about 1-2 inches longer all around, so that you can tuck it in and sew over it.

Step 4: Pin the lining to the fabric.

Step 5: Sew it up!

Step 6: Hand sew these little hooks to the top corners of the collar

Step 7: Wear it! :)

I also want to show you guys what my awesome sister surprised me with today. She was out shopping and returned with these awesome goodies for me.

A Lush "Leap Frog" Bath bomb!! It smells AMAZING! Can't wait to try it out. and some awesome Nail stamp designs from essence. Yay! She rules!

She actually bought these Super siiiiiiiick shoes at Zara, which I can't wait to borrow ;) It rules having a sister!

Hey Everyone!

How's everyone doing? Good, I hope. I'm still recovering from the ankle injury....booo!! I know. It's terrible. It really is. I'm totally surviving though. I'm having shopping withdrawals, not just for clothes, but for fabrics and sewing materials, DIY scraps and things like that. I'll get back on it soon though!

I've been thinking about socializing, and how fun that used to be *insert stare into distant nothingness here*
so here is my make belive going out for a few drinks, brewskies, and the likes outfit, or "whatever you want it to be" oufit, nothing too fancy. Now I'd love to own this outfit if I had a million bucks, if all of those things came in my size and I truly had the courage to wear them, if I could walk in insanely high heels, and if those pants weren't real leather.

Days in a Week

Hey everyone.

I guess you all know about my little injury. Thanks to everyone for all the Get Well wishes in the last post! I still haven't recovered from the injury and even stayed home from work last saturday. Isn't that great? So I don't have an outfit to share. I do have some pics I could share from my phone which I took over the past week(s) and some random things from the interwebs.

I guess that's ok right?

I spent most of my time at home :( But I did go visit Phil for a couple of days. We watched movies and some of our favorite shows. Which makes me excited all over again that 30 Rock is finally back with the 6th season. SCORE! Liz Lemon is my hero.

Also, Parks and Recreation rules. How awesome is every character on that show? I love Ron, I wish he was my non best friend because he doesn't believe in getting close to people.

Do you guys watch Portlandia? I Want to go to there! (30 rock refference, I'm confusing myself here) Thanks to this show.

This was Breakfast with my friend Lorena Last week. Just a picture of the drinks that were included with an amazing breakfast and great conversation :) there's a berry in that sparkling water ... sigh...socializing...how I miss it.

Jesus, Mary and Spock?

Have you ever just known that you where going to have a bad day as soon as you opened your eyes in the morning?

Well this was one of those days for me.

As soon as I opened my eyes I turned my head and hit it against my night stand with that motion knocking my glasses and phone on the floor. Ouch.

But I was excited to get up and start the day. Phil and I haven't gone out together in a while and we made plans to go out and have breakfast follwed by a visit to a museum. I got ready and even curled my hair when I saw that it started raining outside...grrrrr the humidity!!! noo!!! but I thought "oh well!" I grabbed the umbrella and left.

So after meeting phil we both realized that we didn't actually agree on were we where going to have breakfast so like 30 minutes of navigating through the rain we finally found a place and ate.

Now we had to hurry up and get to the museum before they close so running out into the rain we where almost there when I slipped and twisted my ankle. It hurt like oh my god ouch 50 times the F - bomb kind of hurt, I saw all the stars in the universe along with jesus, mary and Spock! ya.

when I slipped I dug my fingers into phil for dear life and was cussing up a storm, but well can you blame me? So I couldn't walk much further I managed to waddle to the nearest cafe house and wait for my bro in law to come pick us up. I'm glad I took these pics before I left.

So now I have a wonderfully swollen ankle and the pain is still lingering. Doctors say it should be ok in two weeks time. What the hell do I do for two weeks? someone get me a hoverboard and a bedazzler! stat! I will bedazzle that puppy and get the show on the road!

Where are my Pants?

Ah that cliche questions you ask yourself when you wake up at home after a night of drinking and finding your friend still passed out on your floor "where are my pants?" What, that's never happened to you guys?

Well these pants are pretty awesome, I like them and I really don't wanna lose them ever, not even for a second! :) They're red and leopard so they rule.

I got this cropped sweater at Forever 21 too cuz well its pretty cool, it's kind of sheer, baggy and kinda hangs on the shoulders, it's plain but cool. I wore it with a black tunica that goes off the shoulder underneath.

Here we go again

So we are in the new year. I guess some of you have already posted your New year resolutions. I don't really have any specific ones. I usually don't like to do things that I'm told to do or things I feel I have to do, it ruins the fun out of it ya know ;) But I just kind of plan on being more organized, less of a procrastinator and try to convince more people that being fat is ok! Thats about it I guess.

Heres the outfit I wore on New Years Eve.

Dress: Forever 21, crop blazer, clutch: Ann Christine, wedges: rosa

I love this dress because of the ruffle above the hips and the pencil like bottom, made me feel like a vampy classy lady :) The clutch is my absolute favorite item as of right now. I have been a huge fan of Alexander Mcqueen and when I saw that he designed this clutch i was drooling over it but also losing hope of ever owning it, so you can imagine how happy I was when I saw this clutch in a Ann Christine shop during my travels this holiday season, It's not an original AQ but it still looks soo rad! :)

Hello! What the what?! where have I been? Whats that? Christmas came and went? Holy moly moly mole! Sorry I wasn't here to wish everyone a merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and whatever other holidays I missed. I was visiting the old Grams who lives in a internet free house and in a different country all together! I didnt get much time to go seek internet connection. Can you believe I survived? It was a christmas miracle..

Anywho!

So the new year is around the corner! You all know that we ACTUALLY have to party like it is indeed 1999 as prince suggested, because well we once again do believe that the world is going to end next year so it is an excuse to party. no? I say bring me my nacho cheese hose! One slight problem however....I have nothing to wear yet! I have to work tomorrow so I don't have much time to plan an outfit! yikes! Gotta plan something and fast!

Okay so it's been a long time coming....A long time coming indeed. I suppose some of you remember me telling you about a woman who apporached me at the Vienna Fashion Week to model in her catalogue, and I suppose you remember the behind the scenes post I posted. Well since I got the actual pictures I was kind of unsure about posting them. I wasn't satisfied with them at all, the lighting wasn't that great, plus by the time it was my turn to shoot, it got dark outside (which is where they planned to have the entire shoot) and we had to shoot in the photographers studio/gallery which wasn't set up for indoor shooting so all that and blah blah blah...

On second thought I figured 'Hey!' It is my first ever photoshooting for a catalogue, so why not post it either way. I have never done any kind of modeling for anyone before so this was kind of exciting even though the pictures wheren't that great, and even though everyone involved was an amature it's still pretty cool. Plus the Jewelry and bags I modelled are also pretty neat. Nothing I can afford though! The Catalogue will be out sometime in January or Feburary.

So here are some of the pictures for which I didnt have to cringe too much :) I should mention that we were all told to wear something very plain and black so that the products stand out in the picture.

I have to say that my friend Bernadetta who is a professional make up artist did such an amazing job on this shoot. the make up was great! Here's some beauty coupons to copy this look. I thought you guys might appreciate it.

Saw this pretty little thing while walking through the crowded first district in vienna. Which is a beautiful district in vienna, I'm pretty much always amazed at the pretty buildings and scenery even after Five years of living here. Vienna is a great place. But I digress, let's get back to this fabulous Street styler.

It was raining and I had no umbrella. I saw her and I totally dug her outfit besides wanting to steal her umbrella. I really liked her jewelry with that cardigan and oversized bag. And how cute is her pink lipstick? She looked adorable and I had to ask her to be part of the Thick Threads Street style brigade :) She was super nice and agreed! yay! :)

D.I.Y Sweater!

Hey there!

I'm glad I finally have some time to sit down and write about one of the things that I made the past few days. I've been so busy that I couldn't find the time for a post. You guys all know how it is sometimes, especially during the holidays!

So! Let's get down to business. I recently turned two old shrugs into new sweaters!

When I bought them about two years ago at Mango, They looked something like this:

I hardly ever wore them and they where just hangin around my closet taking up space. Just as I was about to add them to my never ending donation pile. I realized that they where equally long on the top and on the bottom because of the cowl like fold all around, so i folded them in half and cut a hole right in the middle. And Voila! I have two awesome sweaters now! :)

Oh the other one is purple! :)

Girl in Black

Black is my go to color/shade whatever. It's always been what I usually want to wear and end up wearing. I've recently started getting out of the black phase because well, I've been wearing black for years and years and years so sometimes it feels good to switch it up a little, and to step out of my shell a little thanks to my blog. However, black remains my comfort color, since this song was written about me thanks to my friends from Shock and Awe.

Ah, where has the time gone? I've been so busy lately and I don't even really know why. I didn't really get much done but I was always doing something to get it done... and work on saturdays? Sheesh, you know what that means? That means Friday nights are dead to me. Dead. Being grown up sucks! I guess that's life though, right? I bought the mustard yellow cardigan because A. well mustard yellow is an awesome yellow, and B. because I wanted to wear it with this t-shirt I love this shade of purple and I thought it would look pretty cool with mustard yellow. Fall colors (and Giveaway!)

Phew, I finally got the time to take pictures of this dress. I actually got it over a month ago as a present for my birthday. I thought it was so pretty with the color blocking on it and the cool zipper in the back is my favorite. The shape and cut of it are really neat too, i love this sort of vintage imitating cut on dresses and skirts. I was so happy to get it for my birthday and I wore it a few times but didn't get a chance to take pictures until yesterday.

I guess I should share my messy story.

During highschool I was working as a cashier at a toy store to make some extra cash. The toy store was in a really nice part of the city so sometimes famous people (by famous I mean local TV news casters and such) would stop by and buy something. Well one day I'm just working at the register minding my own business when I see this big famous NBA player Goran Giricek standing infront of me. I used to go watch the games all the time with my dad and sister so I was a pretty big fan. Totally caught off guard and a little star struck I was trying to talk to him and be nice, scan the items he was buying and pack them into bags at the same time. I didn't even realize that I wasn't really scanning any of the objects, just creepily staring at him not breaking eye contact while putting the toys straight into the bags. By the time I had packed it all up I realized what had happened when I saw that there was no reciept I had to shamefully pack it all out again to scan and then pack it back up, it pretty much took forever! He was being really nice about it though but I was just dieing inside!

As if that wasn't enough bad stuff to make the day horrible, more stuff happens. At the end of my shift I was walking out to my car with a cup of coffee that I got on my way (I had to walk pretty far since it was around christmas time and literally all the parking spots where taken) I feel something hit my shoulder and then see something fall on my chest infront of me. It was BIRD POOP! I just thought to myself "oh you have got to be kidding me universe! what have I done to deserve this!?" I got pooped on. TWICE! I literally felt like this:

So naturally I was totally steaming pissed at the world. Finally I get to my car I didn't even bother to wipe the poop off I just wanted to get home. So while driving home some jerk decides to cut me off and I'm forced to slamm on the breaks making the coffee I had in the cup holder jump out and spill all over my lap. At this point I was ready to get out of the car and be all like:

I held it together though, well I might have just flipped him the bird as I drove by. Finally I get home, I come in the door all covered in bird poo and coffee and just look at my mom like:

My mom didn't even ask. I guess a mother just knows. She just looked at me and said "Don't worry, it'll wash out." I spent the next couple of hours in the bath tub just thinking "yeah, that happened."

At least I can look back and laugh at it. It makes for a pretty hilarious story.

"My views on fashion? hmm.. ok, that's tough. For me, fashion is a means of self-expression. So cliche, I know, but what's fascinating is that everyone is different. So one person's interpretation of "glamorous" may not be the same as my interpretation. What's your message to women?

Coco Chanel said something along the lines of "there are no ugly women, just lazy ones." I totally believe this is true. And it's not just about putting makeup on or assessing one's clothing. Being lazy is also not changing one's perspective on body issues and self-confidence. If you're not feeling too confident and good about yourself, I recommend doing this little step that I picked up from Bella from gypsyroxylee.wordpress.com: look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself: "you are a beautiful woman" because you are.

Magic seeds make magic Trees

Hey there!

These pictures where taken on a lazy sunday afternoon. Just strolling around Vienna. The trees are so beautiful this time of year, I love how magical it looks.

Speaking of magical. We went to go see "Cave of Forgotten Dreams" a documentary by Werner Herzog

Filmed with a 3D camara. It's about the incredibly interessting journey into the Chauvet caves in france, where only a handful of people have been allowed to enter. Werner Herzog got exclusive access to film the oldest cave drawings that ever existed. It was very beautiful and interesting to see and wonder what was going on through the artists head, or what stories he was trying to tell with the drawings. It's some of the best use for 3D in my opinion. If documentaries are your cup of tea, you should deffintely go check it out. If it's playing in a theater near you, watch it in 3D, you won't regret it. If you live in vienna, go see it at the "Gartenbau Kino."

Thick Threads turned One!

I am happy to officially say that Thick Threads has turned One. On this day last year was my first blog post ever! I wasn't sure if it was going to go anywhere, or if anyone was going to read it, I just knew I wanted to keep doing it. I can't even believe it's been a year already! The time flew by so fast. I learned a lot since my last post thanks to the whole blogger community. I have learned and was inspired by so many other great blogs, thanks to each and every single one of you :)

I want to give the most thanks to all of my awesome followers and readers! You all made my blog what it is a year later. Not a whole lot, but deffinitely a whole lot more than what it was when I barely started. Thank you for your support!

I would love to make it up to you somehow. I have no idea how. I am pretty broke. but maybe there is a giveaway in the making? I am open to any suggestions on this topic because I really want to give back to you and I want it to be something that will make you as happy as you've made me being my reader and supporter and all that nice stuff. Behind the Scenes Sneek Peek

Remeber that photoshoot I told you about? Well I get to pick the pictures up this week. So I thought I would share a little sneek peek behind the scenes of the shoot. Literally "little" because I didn't get to take so many pictures :(

There was a lot of waiting around and running around and helping out going on at the photoshoot. It was the photographers independent project since she owns the gallery for which the photos where being taken.

There were two other models as well but I didnt get pictures of them because I was mainly helping out and going around and doing their hair while they where getting their make-up put on or shooting. The pictures are all for this catalogue that sells hand made art, jewelry and couture dresses straight from the runway. Each of us got to pick out and take home one piece of jewelry as a thank you gift from the photographer. I got this rectangular hand made glass ring. it's really pretty and one of a kind.

We had our make up done by a professional make up artist who happens to be a friend of mine as well so we had fun with that. She made sure I liked what she did with me, and that's important even though she put AMAZING make up on ALL three of us all day long. She's great!

Here are some pics of her making me look cool. Not nearly done at all though. She did Two types of looks on each model too by the way! Yeah, thats dedication! :) Here she is working on my first look. You'll see the finished touches when I get the pictures. Let me just tell you. The lipstick color was awesome.

Since I was the last one everyone was already super tired and ready to go. The photographer invited us out to dinner at this little pub across the street from her gallery where we had the photoshoot. It was delicioius, but I didn't have enough time to take all of my make up off just the catty stuff on the sides and I just put my hair down and kind of brushed it out with my fingers. It worked out even though it was in a pretty wild and crazy up do at the photoshoot. SO anyway I ended up walking around vienna with my fabulous make up on (false eyelashes included) I got some looks, whatevs :)

So make sure you stay tuned for the real pics. I hope they turned out good! I actually haven't seen them yet either so I'm totally excited. eeeek! :)

Birthday Week Recap

The past week was a busy one for me. I pretty much celebrated my birthday the whole week long cuz hey, we only get older once a year...well we get older every second, you are older now, and now, and now, and now again and now you're older still...(check out TMBG-older ) But celebrating the day you actually came into this world in all of your screams and bare gallore is a special celebration for some.

Thanks to a friend in edinburgh who got me onto the Vic Goddard and the Subway sect guest list I got to meet up with Vic after the show and have a little chat...I was a bit wasted but I think it all went pretty well :) It was so great to dance along to the tunes while watching them live on stage and even cooler getting to meet him afterwards, he was really nice and very polite :)

A day later was my actual birthday and it was raining cats and dogs outside. I planned to go see another show but wasn't motivated enought after seeing the weather. I ended up having dinner with my sister and brother in law and found out that my sister and bro in law had to drive by the venue where the show was happening anyway so I figured I might as well go and see the show, it was a last minute decision but it was a good one :) We saw a band called "Human Trash" who where really very cool, played with trash bags over their heads and on trash cans, they sounded really cool though. They also put on a great show, I've never seen a band like them so it was really refreshing for a change. check them out if you can!

We went up to talk to them after the show and they where so happy that we liked the show, they ended up giving us a bunch-a free stuff (cds, band buttons, etc) they where really great! The headlining band where a Rock 'n' Roll band called "Al & the Black Cats" they where pretty cool too. They put on a great show. Wheren't nearly as thankful for the compliments after the show though. :)

On Friday I went out dancing with some friends. The party was called "Stay Fat, Play Britney" Uh, yeah how awesome and trashy does that sound? And it totally was! :) I had a blast.

Tomorrow's my birthday....the old 23 has rolled up....to that I can only say this much:

Not quite at my preffered age of pretend senile-ism. flipping random people off and stealing from grocery stores, but I will get there one day...I'm optimisitc about it ;)

Going to see Vic Goddard and the Subway Sect tonight, for which my friend has put me on the guestlist all the way from edinburgh, scotland, got to love having rock n' roll friends. I'm excited about it. Vic is one of the old time punk legends from the days of the clash and sex pistols in the UK I'm really happy they came to Vienna and happy that I get to roll in there VIP style..yeah! Pretty great birthday present :) Tomorrow I'm going to see another band play and have a couple of parties lined up over the weekend. Should be an eventful week. Does anyone else make their birthday week a party week? It's kind of been my tradition so far.

Also here is an outfit post, what the hell right? Wore this to go somewhere...forgot where...maybe the senile-ism is kicking in already? It was a cold day so I took the pics indoors.

I was just about to ask how your weekend was. When I remembered that the weekend is actually just starting. Hello? the little hammster on a wheel who lives in my brain must of taken a break. I guess I need a shot of something strong to swing me back to reality or out of it again either way really.

However, this whole not knowing what day it is will soon be over, next week I'm starting school again and on the weekends I gotta work, I'm even going to try and squeeze a belly dance class in somewhere in there, but we'll see. It's a whole lot of plans for someone like me. I really am incapable of planning anything longer than a day ahead, even that's too soon sometimes. Responsibilities...They get me..I tell ya that much.

Oh, oh,! Before I forget I thought I'd tell you guys. I stumbled upon this shoe website! They sell extra wide fitting boots. I figure I better post about them since my last post was about coats, it really does kind of go with the topic, and knowing me and my randomness, I thought I better post it before we switched to something completely different, I swear that was not a monty python reference, or perhaps it was? ;)

Well anywho, I know it's hard for a lot of plus size women to find boots that fit the leg so have a look on the Wide Fitting site, you might find something you like. As for me I'm allergic to the cold (yes literally, not just figuratively, trust me, I didn't know it existed either) so I'm always on the look out for over knees, gotta cover up as much as possible without looking like I just teleported from the north pole.

Oh it's that time again. The time for coats. Fall is pretty awesome because it's not really freezing but still cold enough to wear a coat. I like coats and scarves and such. Besides the fact that the nature is so pretty in the fall, lovely colors everywhere annnd my birthday is in the fall aswell..... Having said that. I need a new coat. I have some great ones, but can we really have enough coats in our closet? I'm thinking we can't and I'm hoping you agree! :)

I Just got this little story in my E-Mail from a friend and fellow fat activist. I thought it was so cute, funny and awesome that I had to share it with you guys. Some of you might already have read it but even so I doubt it ever gets old :)

I included a picture of "Abigail the Happy Whale" because shes so cute and the story of "Abigail the Happy Whale" is a really cool story for kids and grown ups about the enviornment.

Recently, in a large city in Australia ,
a poster featuring a young, thin and tan woman appeared in the window of a gym.
It said, "This summer,
do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?"

A middle-aged woman,
whose physical characteristics did not match those of the woman on the poster,
responded publicly to the question
posed by the gym.

To Whom It May Concern,
Whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, sea lions, curious humans.)
They have an active sex life,
get pregnant and have adorable baby whales.
They have a wonderful time with dolphins stuffing themselves with shrimp.
They play and swim in the seas,
seeing wonderful places like Patagonia ,

Whales are wonderful singers

I've got a busy semester lined up at the university with absolutely no cute fall clothes in my wardrobe! What the deuce?! I know right? So naturally I was online searching for some gems and came across the plus size clothing from Marisota ! I Hadn't heard of them before and my eyes just kind of glued stuck to the stuff they have on there. Have you guys heard about this page? I'm thinking I need some of the things I found. Their sizing goes from 12 all the way up to 32 with really cute stuff to choose from, I really like that they had this sizing while offering cute cuts, prints and shapes.

I have been looking for a fancy but cute tunic and cute cape because let's face it. Capes rule...they make me feel like a super hero and who doesn't like that? Besides the fact that you can just bundle up in it during the cold days.

I Have been pretty busy lately. Had that photo shoot I told you all about. Today I thought I have to make a post even with all of these obstacles in my way. So my sister Mia Kindly sent me some old, well not really OLD but like a month and a half old pictures that I forgot to post back then. So I guess they're still kind of Legit right? However I was at home that day and had no one around to take my picture. I couldn't find my camera stand either so I had to stack a bunch-a boxes on top of each other on my dresser (it was very shaky) in order to take the pictures myself. So they are just boring ol' pics of me in my room trying to make 'em work, This is the best I could get out of the batch. I cropped the messy-ness out :)

I Still had my psycho billy bangs and pink streaks. I'm not sure what I wanna do with my hair, go back to black, go back to pink, or leave it how it is now....hmmmmmmm tough decisions..Anyone out there got an opinion on this? I'd be glad to hear it.

Vienna Fashion Week (very picture heavy)

Finally the day came. I arrived at the Vienna fashion week event with my sister Mia and friend Bernadetta, it was pretty cool being there. It was my first time ever being at an event like that, models everywhere, designers, clothes, shoes, magazines! I ran into some of the nice bloggers I had met at Vienna fashion camp as well. It was great to see them again and talk about which shows everyone was looking forward to.

There was a red carpet rolled out for all the guests, and the runway shows where really exciting to watch. There were some creations by designers which I have never seen before so it was pretty neat sitting there watching the models walk the catwalk, nothing plus size though, although there were a few shapes and cuts that could fit a plu size woman aswell. I kept wishing to see a model with some curves on her because some of the dresses looked like they would actually look better on a curvy body ( in my opinion. )

At one point we were standing in line waiting for the next show when a woman came up to me and said "I'm sorry to bother you but I noticed your face, it's perfect for my next catalogue, would you be interested in a photoshoot" (no worries it's nothing shady :P she creates and sells Jewelry, handbags, and interior design things) I was more than flattered, and super stoked, so I will keep you updated on that. AND I have some great pictures of amazing street stylers whom I ran into there! They looked hot you won't wanna miss those upcoming posts :)

Here are some pics I snapped of some of the runway shows. I chose to wear something simple, black yet edgy. I was reading about what everyone (bloggers, press) was planning to wear to the event and most of them said to wear something comfortable and some shoes that aren't too high, because there is alot standing around and waiting going on. And would you believe that there was a girl wearing the same exact dress as me?! I kid you not...Never thought it would happen to me...But oh well, what can you do.

Dearest Readers,

Today I write to you with great pains coming from my head due to a massive hangover. Nontheless, I write you. Why? Because the sun shines out' your ass to me.. I care about you.

Still, you got to bare with my zombie like state of being right now. News is: I'm excited about vienna fashion week. Bad news is, today is the opening and I can't exactly make it, boooo! I can only make it on thursday which is lamesauce-ness. Yet still exciting because well, fashion week is always good. I doubt there will be any Plus size fashion or events, but fashion is fashion and inspiration is inspiration. I hope I get to meet lots of cool people. Also, it would totally suck if it sucked cuz then I get back on here and you're all expecting awesome feed back and all I can give you is a lousy picture of a T-shirt that says "I went to vienna fashion week and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.....for 299.99" But on the real, I'm sure It'll be just dandy.

Vienna Fashion Camp

I attended this event called Vienna Fashion Camp this weekend on saturday which I came across completely randomly and at last minute. I was excited about the fact that there is a whole blogger community here, which as you may or may not know I really had no idea about, I searched the internet for Viennese blogs but only found some that weren't up todate any longer. What I was even more excited about was to see if there are more Plus Size bloggers in vienna I've been wondering if I was the only one holding it down for us curvy women in Vienna or where there more?? Well turns out I was the only one at the Vienna Fashion Camp who was a plus size fashion/body positivity Blogger. Still not sure if there are any others because the other bloggers didn't really know either.

I met some nice bloggers and fashion designers one of whom is going to be the next "fabulous street styler" on here :D. It was hard connecting or starting up a conversation with some but I am used to that sort of thing by now, the viennese are know for that so it was no biggie ;)

The event was fun and at this really nice place called "The Hub" they were handing out these really great welcome packs by the entrance filled with really cool stuff, great programm with lots of helpful info and awesome cup cakes and co. :) It was cool being surrounded by so many creative minds.

I felt a little shy and out of place with my itty bitty digi cam, where as everyone had their awesome and amazing professional camaras clicking away making beatiful shots, but don't worry, I didn't let it scare me away from making some of my own :) I took some shots to share on here I did it kinda quick so they aren't the best pics I ever took so bare with me :)

There was an after party event but I didn't end up going because it was phils birthday the same night and we ended up partying at his house with some friends. So all in all I had a great weekend and I would deffinitely love to attend the Vienna Fashion Camp again next year.

I'm back from all of my traveling adventures. I spend the past week in Croatia on the coast of dalmatia with my boyfriend. It was gorgeous and amazing! And..well the 2nd time for me this year but I only took pictures this time around, last time I was with a friend and she was picture crazy so I didn't wanna feed her touristic addiction more with my own picture snapping...

anywhoo. I have no outfit post for this post just some pics I took of the beaches we visited and not all of them either..I know I'm so terrible...For some reason I never took any pictures of my outfits during my vacation either, I was too busy snorkeling, finding shells, taking walks, drinkin' cocktails, being relaxed and distracted by everything else.

But not to worry! I have lots of outfit, product, etc posts coming up which I have been postponing. I'm pretty much a professional procrastinator, but I do have to say that it all eventually gets done in the end so at least thats a good thing :) Anywhoo enjoy the pics for now! :)

I Think it's getting a little too hot. Would you mind turning up the AC dear mother earth?

Its been over 35°C (96°F) over here, madness I tell you, it's not so much the temperature, I mean hell I grew up in Utah, where we had desert summers, dry, hot, 96°F is 96°F. Vienna is humid, so 96°F is like a Thousand! I can literally ring out the sweat from my shirts.....ewwwwwwww, you know you like it :)

So These pictures are meant to look like they do. By that I mean the hair is intentionally messy, I have fake (water) sweat on my face, and the make up is a little drained. Thought I oughtta fit the theme, you know kinda like Britney in the "I'm a slave 4 U" Video, except I don't really want anyone to lick my face or hump my leg, I'm sweatin enough as it is :P. So yeah I tryed to make these photos portray the heat as good as possible without looking like a sex craved maniac but rather like a AC craved cubicle employee, or a foodstand clerk. We had plans to go out this day and I planned to wear this, but it was way too hot to push through the crowds in the public transportations, inhale that oh so sweet smell of body odour in the subways and sweat our cojones off by the time we got to where we were going.

I'm Glad I'm going to be layin on the beach pretty soon! This heat makes me want it more than ever. you guys are invited to come :) someone say beach party? Cocktails on me :)

Yes, I know. I have been missing in action like Lindsey Lohan has been missing rehab. BUT I was, er, am still kind of on a break from everything besides living life to the fullest. I just figured I should make a little minni post to tell you that I kinda miss you guys in a weird sexual kind of way. I kid the appalled! But I do really miss you guys. This post proves it.

I've been relaxing, hanging out and doing things I like with people I love. It's what summer is all about. You gotta just shut off and do your thing for a while. Pretty soon the weather will be cold, the sun will be down by 5 P.M. and people in the subways will death-stare you down if you happen to smile or god fobbid giggle.

I have been here and there and everywhere so far. One of my oldest friends and favorite people came to visit me for a few days it was just amazing to wreak havoc together with an old friend again I loved having her here.

I hope you are all enjoying your summer so far! If not then you deffinitely should be. As soon as you're done reading this, go outside into the sun and do something awesome!

I'm going away again for a few days so Thank you for baring with me while I've been on this break!

Since being involved in body positivity I've come across some pretty ridiculous articles, statements, comments, etc. ( I mean besides the ones I get to hear on a day to day basis. ) Where people talk about HATING fat people and how disgusting it is to be fat. Which makes me sad for those people, they are so pathetic and uneducated that they rather look around at other people and judge them based on their body size than go home read a book and educate themselves on the topic they HATE so much to at least realize why it is that they have this hate towards fat. Choosing to hate someone takes a lot of energy don’t you think? and to solely hate someone because they are overweight is pretty ridiculous not to mention it says a lot about a person I automatically don’t want to have anything to do with these people.

There are actually people who have said that they would rather have a physically disabled friend than a fat friend, or men who would rather date a recovering drug addict than a fat woman.

what the hell does that mean anyway? What does it matter if your friends are physically disabled, fat or recovering drug addicts? How about you just like someone because they are a good person, good friend, someone you just like being around because they are awesome?

Meghan from Project life size talks about it in this youtube video which is what got me started on this topic anyway.

There are so many men and women who like big women, find them attractive but wouldn’t be caught dead with them because they are embarrassed of what their friends would say, or what some stranger they don’t care about in the first place would say about him or her dating a fat girl. First let me say, if you are a guy or girl who is into a fat girl and the reason you’re not with her is because your friends and strangers might pick on you, then why be friends with people like that at all? Why have SUCH a WEAK personally to the point of being manipulated out of happiness?
Now do you think that fat people would not be looked at as disgusting or hated on if we were portrayed differently in the media?

For example: In the movie Bridesmaids all of the girls are thin, pretty, girly, sexy except the one fat chick, she is the manly, disgusting, farting one who doesn't know how to be any of the things the pretty skinny girls are. What if one of the thin girls got that role instead? or what if the sexy female role in the transformers movies was a thick girl? or any leading love interest movie role for that matter. To make the thick girl the attractive woman and not the awkward weird one.

I’m not saying that all fat people should be seen as attractive from this point on, that’s not for me to decide. People have to decide for themselves what they find attractive and what not, I’m saying that hating someone because of their size is not a reason to hate someone.
Would fat people still be hated and seen as disgusting by shallow and pathetic people if the media decided to stop making fat women the ugly, embarrassing ones in movies, tv shows, etc? I think that most of the fat hating people don't even really know why they hate fat people besides the fact that they are unable to think for themselves and are told to do so by media.

I end this note with an awesome paragraph I ran across on tumblr:

Glorifying obesity would take multiple TV shows depicting fat folks riding unicorns and devouring warm pies whilst counting the bags of money they’ve gained from being fat. I met this pretty little thang while Phil and I where out trying to cool off with some delicious ice cream near downtown Vienna. When I saw her in her pretty dress I had to stop and ask if she wanted to be part of my Fabulou Street Stylers. Thankfully she was super sweet and super nice about it. While I was giving her my business card as to prove that I'm really not a creepy internet perv and that I really DO have a fashion blog, she reached over and handed me one of her own! Turns out she is a very awesome hobby photographer!! Can I not meet any boring street stylers? I mean really :P I thought that was really cool and was hoping to check out her website when I got home. She takes really cool photographs and she agreed to let me use some of the ones she took of herself along with an extra photo she sent me in a E-Mail later of the dress she actually bought before I stopped her on the street. Which is fair I figure she just bought a dress to look fabulous and she has it in the bag in the picture! So it's only fair to all of us to see her wear it!

Hello again friends.

I've been having a little bit of a writers block the past few days. I've sat down to write a new post but nothing quircky or witty or interesting even came to mind. I'm wondering if I'm losing my writers mojo. I guess I have just had alot on my mind.

I took these photos a while back on a really warm day, not too warm i did end up wearing the cardigan but I did have to take it off every now and then, it was one of those days where the weather is pretty much like "hey it's totally hot outside...HAHA JK DUMBASS..oh! its hot again" and you're just like "wow, thanks weather, i appreciate it"

Anywho I rarely wear this top, even tho its so cute i like the color and the vintage style sweetheart bustline, but I have a really hard time pairing it up with things. I'm not a huge fan of black and orange because it reminds me of halloween, which is just my american media brainwashed mind talking but I can't help thinking I'm a walking advertisment for pumpkin season. But even so I do kind of like the combination if it wasn't for this whole halloween issue. I bought the top a few years ago and I don't even remember in which store but I just barely noticed what the tag in the back says you can see it in the last picture below. Which deffinitely scored super brownie points with me! I still gotta figure out the best way to pair it up...Your suggestions are welcome!!

Denim Vintage

I was kindly asked to be part of a Denim project started off by my oh so gorgeous friend and fellow blogger Nefferth over at Mode Plus. Needless to say I was super stoked about being part of it! She had 5 bloggers pick 5 different themes to portray their denim-ness in, those themes where: Classic, Rock, Chic, Glam, and Vintage. With all of those awesome themes it was hard to choose.

I chose the vintage look because vintage done well IS timeless! which I did try to achieve but I really don't give myself the credit of achieving that! But I gave it a shot nontheless. And thanks to my good friend Borjana and her amazing mom for gifting me the rad pink headband which her mom made for us! :D Thanks!

Now, this look reminds me of two great eras in our vintage fashion history. It has a 60's flare to it, a little pin up style even, yet it has that late 80's early 90's feel to it aswell, back when all the music videos where set in denim jackets and or whole denim outfits :D

It also reminds me of cool summer nights and flower fields for some reason. Probably beacause of the music videos again! :D damn that MTV! it brainwashed me! good thing they don't play music videos anymore in that case.

Hey guys. I feel like I should appologize for my absence. It's been a hectic start off into the summer and I just didn't have the time to sit down and write a new post. Thanks to everyone for the sweet Kudos on my new segment "The fabulous street styler" I'm super happy to know that you all like the idea as much as I do, I hope I keep running into nice enough people who will help me keep this going.

Anyway I thought I could post up some things that I was reading and contemplating about the past few weeks/days and see what you guys think of it all.

First I would like to show this store Ruche I came across, does anyone have any details about the fit of their clothes and if their sizes are true? I love these items:

Also, SLiNK Mag. one of my NEW favorite Plus size magazines has their 2nd. Issue out already!!! They have amazing style tips including beauty, hair and nails along side interrior design advice and much more AND they are totally giving away a -20% coupon at One Stop Plus which is very cool! You can read the full issue on their website, which you should deffinitely do.

Also there is this article I found on Refinery29 about Body Positive blogs and if they are good or bad influence on young women? I read through the article and my personal opinion is that it obviously does have a positive effect on girls, since this particular article talks about a girl who says that body positive blogs helped her during recovery from an eating disorders. I do however agree that there shouldn't be any kind of talk about "ideal size, body shape or measurements" because it pretty much speaks against "body positivity" and I believe that in those cases where there is talk about "ideal body size, shape or measurements" women are forced to compare themselves to other bodies thus being unhappy with their own body.

Body Positive blogs should be positive for all measurements, shapes and sizes and no body being better than the other, because aren't we all trying to reach out to women who feel less appealing because of their size?Our message to these women is that every body should be recognized as ideal.

Oh! Hey there...I didn't see you come in ;)

Well As you can see I have a new "segment" on my blog and it is called the "Fabulous Street Styler". Which means that I go around the city and ask fabulous people if i can take pictures of them for my blog. I wanted to make peoples day a little better by complimenting them, it's my way of making the world a better place! :D I want to prove that not only famous people, models, or bloggers are fabulous but that everyone and anyone can be a rolemodel, feel good, look good and be fabulous! That is an important message to all women across the world!

I'm really excited to start this project off, it's totally been on my mind forever!

So I was on my way to see X-men First class (great movie btw) when this gorgeous little lady crossed my path! She was totally stylin' all over the place and I had to ask her to be part of my Fabulous street stylers! She was super nice about it, thank goodness! and said that she was even startin her own blog soon! Turns out shes a total fashionsta and a professional make-up artist! wow do I know how to pick 'em or what ;) I am really excited about her upcoming blog. Tradition Shmadition. Part 2.

Okayyyyyy SO! moving on to the next outfit post here. I meant to post sooner but....well...slacker mode was on and I forgot to shut it off again :)

But on the cerial...I had shniz to do....Yes I did just make up the word "shniz" it's catchy...I'll keep it.

Anywhoooo I wore this dress for the second part of the Wedding I went to a few weeks back. I actually pretty much stalked this dress on City Chics website, I absolutely loved it when I saw it. So when they had the - 60% sale I knew it was my chance to get it, I mean how could i not?...It's the perfect summer garden wedding or any semi fancy occasion summer dress.

I was a little nervous about buying it because I had never bought clothes online before so I made sure to measure myself correctly via their size chart, their sizing rules. It fits perfectly...brownie points for city chic! Will shop there again, and thanks to my trusty partner in crime Andrea "dee dee" Miller I actually got to have the dress, because city chic don't ship to austria BIIIIGGG SAD FACE :( imagine that! It is really very dissapointing because they have sooooo many cute clothes there!! grrrr But thanks to Dee I got my dress! she was awesome enough to ship it over. I hope city chic decide to go international with their shipping soon. That would be amazing!

Tradition Shmadition! Part 1

Here we gew. I guess some of you already know I was at a wedding last week and most of you asked for outfit pics. So that's whats happening.

I learned that in austria it is tradition to have 2 wedding dates. One after the other...which makes it kind of hard to leave your partner at the alter, not that I agree with such a thing...I'm just sayin, once you're in, you're in.

So the first day is done at the registrars office with only the closest family, maid of honor and best man to get all the legal paper work and the "I do's" done and outta the way.

So we got a traditional austrian wedding, and that means traditional austrian wear! OH NOES! I don't have a Dirndl!!

And with my Student budget I really couldn't afford to buy one to wear this one time and never again after that. If you don't know, Dirndls are expensive..So I searched my closet to find something that I figured could pass as semi-traditional wear with a little mod thrown into it :)

I came up with this.

Urban Jungle Heart

Okay so I'm back from the whole wedding situation...I got some pics from what I wore to that wedding but not all of them so hold your horses, or horsepower or whatever the young and cool kids say now-a-days....Oh how I love cheap jokes.....who's with me? anyone? ...no? okay...Ahem...

So I got this dress because First of all the print is so awesome...how adorabl are those little hearts and the color is pretty rad too! But mostly because it reminded me of the grunge days back in the 90s. You know those baby doll dresses all the girl singers in the bands wore. Courney Love and Gwen where all about them! If you don't remember or if you where born after 1993, don't sweat it! I found some examples for you.

I always though they where so pretty and cool! Both the dresses and the girls. I mean, who wouldn't right? So while on a trip to Munich, Germany I went to a store called T.K.Maxx it's the same store as T.J. Maxx which they have in the states, where I also used to shop back in da dayz...When I found out that I could find the store so close to Vienna it pretty much blew my mi-eei-i-eei-nd! (that's "mind" in "stoked" language) which is where I found this sweet thang! Anywhoo here are some pics of me wearing it on a super scorching hot day in Vienna. :)

Sunshine on my sleeve

Today started out as a gloomy day, and I had errands to run! I thought it was refreshing at first because it was such scorching hot weather the past few days. But then I thought meh.... Gloomy days are so lame and depressing sometimes so I figured I could just wear something bright as a sun temp if you will! This top is super fun, short and sweet! :D The shoes are borrowed from my sister Mia, great thing having a sister specially a sister who loves heels so I don't have to buy them :P J/K sis luv ya! :)

I guess the whole bright outfit thing worked because the sun actually came out later and it turned out to be a nice sunshiny day... but enough about the weather... What are we here some kind of small-talk support group? ................. I kid the small talkers! Nothing wrong with a little weather subject every now and then! :)

So I will be M.I.A 'till next week because I will be attending a wedding out of town. For which I broke my feet whilst shopping today! Can someone spare a dollar? seriously.. I'm as broke as MC Hammer. Nothing against him ofcourse, I do still jam to "can't touch this" what? it's a good jam, you know you do a little hammer dance in your head everytime you hear it..don't lie!!! Which reminds me...I desperately need some harem pants!

Okay so I know I know, I kinda slacked off with the fabulous people post. I was really busy with researching and studying for school so I didn't have time for the whole fabulous life. BUT it's back and this is a good one!

Actress, comedienne, writer, producer, awesomnesser!

I'm sure you have all heard of the upcoming movie "Bridesmaids" a pretty sweet comedy with an all chick cast but is NOT a chickflick! I personally can't wait to see it when it comes out here in Vienna on July 22nd. Well Rebel Wilson plays the role of "Brynn", "Annie's" (Kristen Wiig) weirdo roomate.

I noticed her before in some roles like in the "Ghost rider" and in the TV show "Workaholics" I thought she was great and pretty and wanted to see more of her.

She was a guest on Conan O' Brien a few nights ago (been religiously watching Conan for the past 100 years, yes I am that old! and thanks I know I look amazing for my age, but whats age anyway....just a number right? ....but I digress..) And I just laughed my ass off, she is sooo amazing! Here is a Video of the Interview, Check out her sweet nunchuck skills! I wish she could give me some lessons.

I loved how confident and comfortable she is with her body and that confidence just shines all around her like some kind of weird aura where you can't help but think that she is soo cool! :) But how can you NOT BE COOL with a name like Rebel?

I had a few comments thrown at me recently that made me think...

They where negative comments about being plus size and plus size fashion. I think the first rule to any sort of fashion is: There are no rules! That means that you get to dress and invent whatever you want, and if that's what you are feeling, then so be it. If there where rules in fashion there would be no such things as trendsetters. If Lagerfeld, Chanel, Versace all never put out something crazy or out of the ordinary, noone would have ever noticed them!

Now these comments where thrown at me by people who are actually plus sized themselves. Which I think is their own insecurty and their low self confidence speaking. They made me laugh more than get angry because they where just so ridiculous! I really hope those people find a ground to stand on in their life to feel good about themselves. To not judge others negatively by their own insecurities. I hope they find the confidence that is needed in them to appreciate others for their courage, style and originality. We are all original in our own ways and that should be positively recognizes.

Growing up chubby you get ancored down by this Fat terrorism all around you and it takes alot of strength and courage to get that out of your system. The first step to getting that negativity out of your system is looking into the mirror and admiring your body, seeing what you like about it. Go into a store, try something that you always wanted to try but never had the courage to. Appreciate your curves, see your individuality.

We are our own life boats thrown out to sea to save that last breath of confidence. You gotta accept your own beauty and go with what makes you feel as beautiful as you are. Please! Don't be put down by any "rules" or "Cellulite" talk Everyone has cellulite, even the top model of all top models, even babies! Nobody is perfect and nobody is born with glitter and gold in their hair. Wear your Jeggins, leggings and mini skirts, show those curves proud and confident! There are a million women and men who will appreciate you for it and you yourself will shine with happyness.

Tribal in the city

These last couple of days where pretty busy for me. I had some stuff to take care of at the university and some family things etc etc etc blahhh!!! Boring stuff, but I figure I might as well mention the reason why I didn't post much in the last time..

So I finally went to the Forever 21 store. It was magical. The whole store is just so cute! They have a whole room for accessories and another whole room just for shoes!! I was hoping to find a huge plus size section but it was pretty small...There weren't so many things to choose from but it was all super cute anyway! I fell in love with this dress and had to buy it. I absolutely love the tribal print on it and the color is fantastic! It is a purple background with blue, orange, red, white, tribal prints on it.

I felt pretty naked in it because it was so light and it just kind of flows around in the wind, it's like wearing your birthday suit if you catch my drift ;)

On this day I found out that I passed an exam so that's what the special "accessorie" is in my hand. A celebratory Stiegl Radler (Bier with lemonade) - Cheers!

Ah....The Wish List....

Summer is just around the corner and I too have a wish list.

My list is made up of items i want from Forever 21+ . I love the store but there was never a store close by. Well....A first time ever Forever21 store opened in vienna this weekend and that is seriously exciting!!! I haven't been there yet because of busy livin' you all know how it is. But oh boy, someone better hold me back once I am in...I heard their plus size section is HUGE AND AMAZING! OMG! I'm getting way too excited just talking about it right now so I will just go on to the pictures...

So I have been searching for the perfect Maxi dress, these are some of the ones that caught my eye, I really like them and that maxi skirt is just to die for! love it.

This is just some super cute stuff to go out and about in in the summer sun and feel pretty and breezy :D

How cute are these accessories. It was SO hard to pick just a few I just browsed through and picked some I'm sure I missed so many cute things but this is the stuff that just sort of caught my eye.

Do I need to say more?...Thats what I thought :P Although I probably won't get the 2nd pair because there is a possibility I break every bone in my body walking in them, but a gal can dream ;)

I'm attending some weddings this summer and I'm looking for some great dresses, these are so amazing! Which ones to buy???????

So there you go, that is the cause of my bankrupcy in the upcoming months :D

I'm into pixel art, video games, comic books, trashy movies, etc. So when I saw these awesome leggins at H&M a few weeks ago it was like a light shining from above with soft angel music. Lunch and Ice cream

I went to go meet a new friend for lunch a few days ago. She liked the blog and asked to talk about plus size fashion in vienna. She picked the place which was a bit pricey for my liking but it was a very nice little restaurant called "Neni" on Naschmarkt. I ended up ordering some that came in a very small plate! Haha what can I say. It was tasty. She was very nice and open and we had an amazing conversation about plus size and what it is like in the world today, exchanging shopping sources, new clubs. It was fun and nice to talk to another woman who had a similar opinion to plus size fashion and curvy women. You can see the little plate infront of me on the picture she took of me along with the cool stuff she posts on her blog "One pleasurable thing a day".

Afterwards I met up with phil still hungry we went to a local grocery store and bought some spaghetti and ice cream, we ate the ice cream on the walk back to his place. It was a very nice day spent with very nice people!

I wore this dress, It's so lovely I just love it. It's for those spring days where you just want to feel cute and happy and colorful on a breezy but warm sunny day :)

This is my vintage outfit of the day. Everyone and their mom is wearing vintage outfits these days, which is totally fine with me. It's beautiful and glamorous to look at. I have always really loved the vintage look and I still do. Especially because I have always liked the cateye glasses and I am OH SO glad that they are available to buy in stores now! :) But I guess I just don't like to follow any certain trends and I didn't want to fall into that whole category. As Hipster as that sentance just was, it's true nonetheless :) But I guess thats why we are all here to share our personal styles with everyone else and hope that you can give someone a new idea for fashion or that they will like it or even wear it themselves. Also I joined this amazing Activist group here in Vienna called ARGE dicke weiber (mean/rad fat girls) it's a group of women working towards eliminating Fat-talk and the pressure to be thin, and also changing the Beauty Ideal if you are interested and want to come hang out and talk or just sit through a meeting feel free to come.

There is a new hot and amazing plus size magazine out called "SLiNK" You can check out the new issue online on their website. I literally read it from cover to cover.

Another cool thing. The new H&M Summer Plus size collection is out! YAY!! I am loving it!

I also came across this thanks to LaCaras post about it over at Oh La La Curves. It's a plus size clothing brand called Mat Fashion from Germany. So far I am in complete love with their collections! They have a few looks in their look books going on, check them out! :)

"Roller rollercoaster. Oh how I'd love to roll you in"

Went to go see one of the best bands of our generation. The title of this post is a lyric line from one of my favorite songs by them. It's called "Rollercoaster" If you are one of those people who are pissed about bands not being what they used to be in the 60's and 70's well then you should check out "Black Mountain" They got that psychadelic sound that speaks to your soul and gives you a feeling of a revolutionary time. They are very amazing and I don't mind comparing them to Led Zeppelin or pink Floyd or Jefferson Airplane for that matter. The Singer Amber Webber has a voice similar to Grace Slicks voice it's just so harmonious and soft yet strong like you have to listen to what she has to say. They are from canada and I though I would never ever see them Live because they mainly only toured the US and Canada. When I found out that they where actually playing in Vienna I was Über stoked about it! And Phil being the awesome guy that he is bought us both tickets. Which made me even more happy!

I squeezed my way through the crowd to the front for a perfect view. Needless to say my neck hurt about 3 days later from all the rocking out and headbanging. I got a few pics to share on here including what I wore :)

Rain Coats and Rain Drops

The weather has been less than pleasing in Vienna, for those of you who are out there in the other wonderful parts of the world.. But I guess now that I think back on the news forecast the whole world is having strange weather...I guess that is this in between stage they call "Spring". I Love spring, it gives me the feeling of positive energy, the flowers are blooming everywhere, colors of all kinds gracing our paths. It's Beautiful.

However, Vienna is having a week of rain, and it would be fine if it was just rain but vienna weather likes to switch it up. Rain, snow, sunshine, wind, rain clouds, sunshine all in one day. Today was one of those days but it was cold all day long, so atleast I knew I could wear a trench/rain coat and not sweat my cojones off :D

I bought this Coat about 6 or 7 years ago back when I still lived in the states...yah, seriously...I guess I can safely call it vintage now. Well I bought it back then because I loved the color, and just I had to have it, I didn't have anything like it in my wardrobe. Being a chubby kid I never had the confidence to wear it I thought it was just too bright and I didn't want to get any more unneccessary attention my way. I literally wore it ONCE to the park while walking my dog........................................................................

a waste...

I've been wearing it this spring because I decided it needed to break out of the closet and shine! I seriously love it and I feel so "Springy" in it. Not to mention trench coats are so '"IN" right now...I really don't follow trends, I tend to just go with whatever I feel like (incase you haven't noticed while reading my blog ) But ever since I started wearing it I noticed that everyone was wearing Trench coats, I guess they are just available everywhere now. I hope you all are enjoying yours like I am enjoying mine :) And let this be a lesson to you never to waste a beautiful clothing item, wear it! be proud of yourself and stunt! :)

Green Skies in Paradise

We have this gorgeous forrest and national park right next door to us. Beautiful trees and squirrels, Does, Bambies, birds, flowers etc. Which I get to look out into every morning from my balcony. I have only been there once so far and I have brough you proof! :) Me and Phil went for a little walk through that beautiful nature and took some pics. On another note: ...... Got a super cute faux leather biker style jaket at H&M for -50%!!! I have always wanted a cool biker/rocker style pleather jacket but there are just soooooooo little in big sizes...well ladies...you better go check if they have more left, they are selling like HOT CAKES! I ALSO wanted to show off the green gloves Ulli sent me a few months back because I just LOVE them so much!

Oh! and I found this amazing new plus size Clothing store, They are called "Domino Dollhouse" I fell in absolute love with the clothes there! I just barely ran across them even though I have been following the creators blog Chubble Bubble for a while now, because well, shes awesome. you'll see what I mean when you go check out her clothing store. They are actually having a sale right now. Their clothes are just TO.DIE.FOR! So go and hurry while the sale lasts!
