A Heated Review: Part 2 of 2

You might remember me rambling on in a recent post about a company whose showroom I visited not too long ago, and ended up being kind of screwed over by them. Well I decided to post the dresses they sent me anyway, because the brands aren't at fault for the websites snobbyness, and I actually really liked the dresses and wanted to share them with you.

Street Styler Isabella

In one of my recent posts I wrote about a reading that was held at a plus-size boutique in Vienna called Stor>

While there, I met a few stylish ladies who I asked to be part of my on-going Street Style project on this blog. I was really happy they agreed to be part of it. I am very happy to introduce to you the second of the two lovely ladies that I am sharing with you, her name is Isabella.

I noticed her elegantly flaunting that prada bag of hers, and upon approaching her I noticed her sporting Prada glasses as well! The outfit was put together very nicely; a truly timeless and classy look.

I'm very happy the ladies agreed to be part of the Thick Threads Street Stylers! I included information about where she found her cute things at the bottom of the picture.

Dress: Jake's from Peek and Cloppenburg, Cardi: Betty Barclay. Bag: Prada - from the designer outlet in Parndorf

Big thanks to Isabella and Dagmar!

And as always, Thanks for stopping by!

A Heated Review: Post 1 of 2

I was recently, well not so recently, actually a few months ago, I was invited to a showroom hosted by a well known fashion Catalogue by the name of OTTO. Maybe you have heard of it. They are mostly online now, but they still like to call themselves the 'Catalogue' because they where "the" place to order stylish clothes from back in the 90s!

Well I went to scope out the scene and saw some pretty dresses to feature on the blog, so I ordered some things and went on my marry way. They did tell us that we had to send the items back after we took pictures in them. Which is really strange, because usually fashion sites offer something for free or even some cash in return for a review or an advertisement from me and most bloggers in general, it's just how things go down, usually.  But I thought, well I can do a review it is good content for the site, but I do find this kind of advertising a little shady, as you will see in the explanation below.

German Book Review: Venus in Echt

I am reviewing a great book that was written by my friend and a wonderful first time Author Rhea Krcmarova. The book is about a plus-size heroine who jumps into an analysis of  single life adventures, gathering experience about relationships and love for herself and her body. The Book is only available in German but I am including a English review below if you are interested.

Manon Baptiste with Navabi

I recently had the opportunity to be part of a blogger project for the Plus Size clothing website Navabi. The project was called "The Lemon Experience" and Navabi decided to surprise a few fashion bloggers with a couple of "secret packages" adding up some suspense of what is to come next for the website, and later on surprising us with an item from the designer label Manon Baptiste.

Ode to my Readers.

Today I am sharing a special post with you.

About two years ago, I was working at an incredibly unmotivating job at a furniture store in the textile department. The thing is, I really liked giving people advice and helping them find what they're looking for, I even had customers come back asking for me, wanting further assistance from me, bless their hearts, but the job was still very monotonous. However, as a student you take what you get, and I was happy with what I had. One day, while being extremely sick of putting up with weird people and having conversations about plastic tablecloths,  this woman came up to me and asked me for some assistance, after which she asked if I happen to have a blog. To which I was stunned! She said she recognized me from the blog and said that she liked reading it for inspiration.

She absolutely made my day that day and I was sooo happy that people actually look at my blog, that I told my co-workers about it, who reacted in their usual manner  when I talked about something that wasn't work related "that's great, have you refolded the towels in the front section yet?" Very anti climatic, but it totally didn't even bother me this time! I happily refolded the towels and was happy for like, well totally still am happy about it today! It didn't fade.

She has been a reader of the blog ever since and after seeing the gorgeous Powerfit dress from Scarlett & Jo on my last post, she had to have it, as did we all after seeing that dress for the first time! She sent me a picture of herself wearing it and I couldn't be happier to feature her on this blog post! Afterall, it is a beautiful girl in a beautiful dress!
