Hey Girls,

Remember when you were feeling down recently about something you couldn't really change about yourself?

Well, I definitely understand that feeling.  It's a stupid feeling, caused mostly by comparing our selves to others, which is a ridiculous thing to do when you really think about it.  Every person is striving to be like the next, which is so boring! Can we get over it already? It's getting super monotinous and quite frankly, I really don't give a F$%! what the high street media might think of me or I try not to give any fucks, on most days anyway.  But of course there are days were I get worn down eventually too, by all of this "GET FUCKING SKINNY AND FLAWLESS, NOW! OR ELSE!" media that gets shoved down our throats on a daily basis.  It's ridiculous, but, you know that so I won't waste time ranting about it.

To me the most interesting people are the ones who try and stay out of that crazy spiral of wanting to be like the next big thing in the magazines.  It's much less stressful, and you get less worry lines so you stay beautiful anyway! ;) We have got to start working with what we have becaue it's all we've got, fully embrace your self and do what makes you happy.  I know, it's not easy and I'm not saying it is, but it sure as hell beats making an ass of yourself by trying to be something you're not.  Nobody likes snobby bitches anyway! :)

shoes: Oasap, dress: Forever 21+, clutch: flea market in berlin, necklace: bijou brigitte, ring: 280 Urban Arts

Speaking of doing your own thing...I'm guessing most people would wear this outfit with heels of some sort, but heels hurt my feet it's the worst pain imaginable, and honestly I'm not that great at walking in them either so I decided to go with these new creepers I recently got from Oasap and I love them! :)
They are on sale right now on the Oasap website so make sure to go and check it out!

So my end note is, Stay classy - whatever "classy" means to you, chasing endless dreams wastes time you could be spending doing amazing things that make you feel good all around.

over and out,
Anita

You'd better tell it!! You look fabulous my dear! I love the pop of red in the sunglasses.

Love that you didn't pair this amazing dress with heels, it WAS unexpected! Heels and I haven't been bffs lately. I have more trouble with them now that I put on more weight and they are a constant source of making me bummed out about how I look. And you're right, why be bummed out? Even if it mattered, there is nothing that can be done about it that will miraculously change things today, so that's been my goal (to live the best I can for each day)

The media really perpetuates a lot of negativity. I can't stand the way they treat women. You actually have to seek out positive reinforcement, which is sad.

Your shoes are so incredible! And you're sending an awesome message.

Who cares what other people think or say, you have to feel good about yourself and then you'll feel like you're better than the rest! I really like your look and your style, skinny doesn't necessarily make people interesting or stylish. Love your shoes and the ruffles on the dress! The red accents are a great idea!

wow your hair look great =) and i love your shoes

Of course I completely agree with your post! You look gorgeous and stylish as always, the hair, dress, necklace and shoes look fab together! Next time you come to Holland or Belgium we should totally have a meet up, think of how much awesome curvaciousness would be on the pictures we'd take <3. Also, the ring is awesome.

Gah, I totally feel you on the "get skinny now" message that the media sends out. I really have a hard time not raging every single time a weight loss commercial comes on, I hate when the people in the interviews act as life is only perfect now because they are thin, and "omg so many men are giving them attention/they have so many dates/their husband keeps complimenting them/etc", they were knocking on deaths door because they were 15 lbs overweight, and that their life was this horrible tragedy before when they struggled with their weight loss. I know for a fact that all of that is a load of crap and who cares if now everyone/the man folk are telling you how incredible you look NOW and not then.

But ugh, I have to tell you..you are ridiculously stunning, I love the dress and those sunglasses are adorables. You're so babelicious.

Beautiful vintage babe, couldn't agree more. These are the days that we should make a stand in what we think of our body. Acceptance, positivity and staying true. On the other hand, i super like your peplum, looks more than amazing on you! Oh, i wear flats often. :)

Amazing! If I looked like you I wouldn't be complaining :) That dress is perfection with your figure...I love it! You add such funky touches to make it your own, I need to do more of that!

This was such a great post! You are so right about the media - it can spread such a terrible message sometimes - I've learned to block it all out. You have amazing style, too - I'm loving your shoes! :)
